1. About these terms
In these terms, "Qutors", "we" and "us" means Qutors Program. "The Client" means the parent, guardian or adult student who books and pays for tutoring. "The Student" means the person who receives the tutoring, who may be the Client or another person.
Qutors Program is an independent academic initiative based in Education City, Doha. Qutors arranges and provides the tutor and is a party to this agreement.
2. Our services
We provide qualified tutors for the IB Middle Years Programme, the IB Diploma Programme, Advanced Placement courses, and SAT and ACT preparation.
Sessions take place in approved spaces in Education City, or online where agreed.
Each student receives a personalised learning plan, and parents receive regular progress updates.
All tutors complete background checks and safeguarding training before working with students, as set out in our
Child Safeguarding Policy.
3. Plans and fees
All fees are in Qatari Riyals (QAR) and are the total for the plan, not per subject.
Each plan includes the number of classes stated and must be used within the stated period of one or two months.
We may update our fees. Any change does not affect a plan that has already been paid for.
4. Payment
The full fee for a plan is due no later than 5 days before the first session.
Payment can be made online or in person at the Qutors office.
All payments must be made to Qutors Program. Tutors are not permitted to accept payment directly.
5. Cancellations and rescheduling
To cancel or reschedule a session, please tell us before the session is due to start.
Fees are non-refundable. Hours from a session that is cancelled with notice, or for reasons beyond your control, can be used at a later date within the plan.
If you end a plan part-way through, no refund is given, but any remaining hours can be used in the future.
If a tutor is unable to attend, we will reschedule the session or arrange a replacement tutor at no extra cost.
6. Tutor changes
If a tutor can no longer continue, or if you are not satisfied with the tutor assigned, we will do our best to find a suitable replacement for the same level and subject.
7. Arrangements with tutors
All bookings with tutors introduced by Qutors must be made through Qutors, including any further sessions or recommendations to other families.
The Client must not make private arrangements or agree separate fees with a Qutors tutor.
If this happens, the Client will be liable to Qutors for the fees paid directly to the tutor. This obligation continues after the agreement ends.
8. Client responsibilities
Make sure the Student attends sessions on time and with any materials requested.
Tell us within 24 hours if a tutor does not attend a scheduled session.
Communicate with tutors only through Qutors-approved channels.
9. Safeguarding and conduct
The safety and wellbeing of students comes first. Everyone involved in our sessions must follow our Child Safeguarding Policy. We may suspend or end tutoring immediately if there is a safeguarding concern or a serious breach of these terms.
10. Privacy and confidentiality
We collect only the information needed to provide tutoring, keep it secure, and do not share it with third parties without consent, except where needed to keep a child safe or where required by law.
The Client agrees not to share confidential information about Qutors or its tutors during the agreement and for five years after it ends, except where required by law.
11. Liability
We take care in selecting and training our academic consultants and tutors, but we cannot guarantee specific grades or exam results.
To the extent permitted by the laws of the State of Qatar, Qutors is not liable for any loss arising from the tutoring services, except where caused by our negligence.
Qutors holds employer's liability and professional indemnity insurance.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page applies to all new bookings. Changes to these terms by a Client are valid only if agreed in writing by Qutors.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Qatar, and any dispute is subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Qatar.
